After hiring new head coach John Harbaugh, the New York Giants have made another offseason move. According to a team announcement on Monday, the team will expand and renovate its headquarters in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The NFL team has commissioned architects EwingCole and contractor Natoli Construction to design and build the expansion of the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. The project will add 93,500 square feet of new space and renovate an additional 46,000 square feet.

Key improvements aimed at enhancing the well-being of players, coaches, and staff on campus include:

  • A 6,000-square-foot expanded locker room with 100 lockers.
  • An 11,000-square-foot weight room with a cardio mezzanine overlooking the indoor field.
  • Advanced sports medicine and rehabilitation spaces that will be three times the size of the current facilities.
  • New recovery and wellness areas, such as saunas or hyperbaric oxygen chambers.
  • Modernized player and team areas to support game-day preparation.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Giants moved into the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in 2010—then known as the Timex Performance Center.

Natoli Construction, based in Pine Brook, New Jersey, was the original builder of the sports complex, according to its website. Natoli built the 104,000-square-foot headquarters and training facility, as well as a 98,000-square-foot indoor training facility with an artificial turf field and a 6,750-square-foot maintenance building. Natoli also built four outdoor practice fields, a reception area, weight room, player dining room, player meeting rooms, television production area, and coaches' offices.

Philadelphia-based EwingCole is no stranger to sports architecture. In 2025, the architect designed a temporary home for Major League Baseball's Athletics at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, California, carving out a 16,000-square-foot clubhouse in the underutilized outfield area of the ballpark.

The architect also provided design services in 2018 for the Baltimore Ravens' Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Maryland, another NFL training facility.

During construction, the Giants' headquarters will continue to serve as the team's operational base. The contract amount was not disclosed. The project is expected to be completed before the 2028 season.
